From Your D.O.M…..

A big hello to each of you.  I hope things are going well for you in 2008!  Whatever you are dealing with or facing, I pray God’s grace and guidance will see you through it.  We all have a lot on our “plates”.  It’s so important that we listen to God (Psalm 46:10) as we live our lives and do His Kingdom Work in Southwest Oklahoma. 

May our focus in 2008 not be on the many limitations we face, but on the many opportunities we have with God!  What a great and mighty God we have to live for and serve!

P.S.  Please continue to pray for my mom (Faye) and my older brother (Terry). Mom is in Jackson County Memorial Hospital and not doing well.  Terry is in a skilled nursing rehab center in Sherman, Texas, as a result of his head injury September 7 of last year.  

Happy New Year SWBA:

The BCM is gearing up for the Spring Semester. On January 14^th, we’ll begin our Monday Night Bible Studies.  On January 16^th, Noondays will start on Wednesday.  Our BCM Student Council Meetings start on Friday, January 18^th.

Other ministries include a special outreach to the WOSC Baseball and Softball Teams again. Billy Irions who played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Adam Lamle who played for the AA Texas Rangers Farm Team will be speaking About Character and Choices.

Also, the group from China will be in Altus on January 30^th for a week or so.  Afterward, our Preparations for the BCM Spring Break Mission Trip in March will be organized. We’re returning to the Baptist Children’s Home in Monticello, Arkansas.

Details for the work at the BCM in Lawton will be determined soon.
