Spring Break is here and so is our
mission trip to Owasso, OK. There will be 10 of us working with
children both at FBC and in a few nearby apartment complexes leading
bible clubs. The dates are March 13th thru 19th.
As always, we would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
As for
the current semester, noondays have averaged in the 40’s; weekly bible
studies 11; group prayer time has about 7; and leadership 10. Several
new students have attended the last few weeks at noonday. On campus, we
had 65 at Pizza Rush. Movie Night and Game Night averaged 15 persons.
We are
trying some new material to teach Character,
Values
and Leadership. It is called Habitudes by Tim
Elmore.
Short lessons with images and scripture to teach quality principles that
affect our lives and culture.
Currently, I have used it with one on one meetings with students as well
as led a few group discussions and even shared a lesson at a recent
noonday. The opportunity
is also
available to find ways to use this information at
WOSC.
There is support from the President, Vice-President and Dean of
Student Affairs.
God is
working among these college students. I am seeking His discernment in
new ways to reach them.
Have a
blessed day in the Lord,
Randy T.

What a Winter! The “old timers” say
it is the worst they’ve ever seen in Southwest Oklahoma. The cold, the
blizzard, the ice storm has been very tough to deal with for all of us!
Much thanks goes to the churches, disaster relief teams, emergency
management personnel, relief organizations, electrical service crews
from everywhere, businesses, and all the many different people who
helped get us through the crisis. Things are getting back to more
“normal” slowly but surely. I think we’re all glad winter is winding
down and spring will soon be here!
